A woman was busted at New York City’s John F. Kennedy Airport on February 21 for attempting to smuggle a half-pound of cocaine in her vagina.

Shekira Thompson, 24, was flying into New York from Jamaica. During a routine screening, a U.S. Customs officer reported that Thompson, a U.S. citizen, was sweating profusely while waiting in line. After being brought into a private search area, she admitted to hiding cocaine in her vagina and produced an oval-shaped ball wrapped in brown duct tape. The ball contained about 255 grams of cocaine, which has an estimated street value of $10,000. Thompson was ultimately arraigned on Monday for a drug possession charge and is now being held at Rikers Island in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Disturbingly, this isn’t the first time someone has tried to smuggle illegal items in their special place. Last September, police in Waco, Texas, were stunned to find that 31-year-old Ashley Cecilia Castaneda had a fully-loaded pistol hidden in her vagina. The driver of the vehicle, Gabriel Garcia, had 2.7 grams of methamphetamine hidden under his seat, while an additional 30 grams of meth and scales were in Castaneda’s purse. The two were charged with possession of methamphetamine in a drug-free zone, since the stop took place within 1,000 feet of a school, while Castaneda was also charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon.

Last November, Alaska native Chelsea Sperry was arrested in the city of Fairbanks after authorities found fake money and drugs hidden in her vagina and anus. She and her boyfriend had attempted to pay for items at an adult novelty store with a counterfeit $100 bill, but they fled the scene after police were called. After she was initially arrested for driving with a suspended license, authorities noticed Sperry making sporadic movements towards her vagina.

An x-ray screening at the jail turned up the fake money and drugs inside her body cavities. Authorities recovered $900 of fake money in her vagina, in addition to a real $10 bill in her anus. Sperry was also holding five baggies of drugs in her vagina—two containing methamphetamine, two containing a brown substance that later tested positive for heroin, and one filled with morphine sulfate pills. She was ultimately given additional felony narcotics and forgery charges.
