Viewing The Fix's Posts With Facebook's 'Family and Friends' Algorithm

In late June, Facebook announced that it would be changing its newsfeed algorithm to focus more on posts from family and friends.

Due to these changes, content posted by news outlets like The Fix will be featured less prominently in the newsfeeds of our readers. We know that a lot of you use Facebook to keep up with the latest addiction and recovery news, features, interviews, and blogs on our site and we want to make sure that you don't miss anything that's important to you.

In three easy steps, you can ensure that you aren't missing out on any of our Facebook content:

Perform these steps on your computer:

1. Go to Facebook.com/TheFix.com.fb

2. Pause your cursor over the "liked" button

3. Check "See First" (See Image A below)

If you would like to be notified the minute our posts go live, you can select "All On" under "Notifications."

On a mobile device using the Facebook App:

1. Go to The Fix's page. (An easy way is to enter "The Fix" in the search bar at the top of the screen.)

2. Click where it says "Following"

3. Select the picture on the right that says "See First" (See Image B below)

If you would like to receive notifications for all of our posts, go back to The Fix main page but select "More" instead of "Following." Then choose "Notifications" from the menu that pops up, and slide the switch to the ON position for "Get Notifications."

Boom. That's it! As always, we love and appreciate our loyal readers. Thank you.
