You will likely be declined for coverage if you are addicted when you apply and say so on your application. If you lie on your application and request coverage for drug rehab, it will be declined if it is determined you were lying on your application. Assurant has different plans, and not all of them cover rehab. However, some of them do. It is important to check your policy to see if it covers your admission to an Assurant health drug rehab treatment center. The CoreMed policy, for example, usually doesn’t cover rehab, while the OneDeductible plan does.
How Long Will Assurant Pay for Your Stay at an Assurant Health Drug Rehab Treatment Center?
The good thing about Assurant plans that pay for drug rehab is that they allow you to stay in your rehab treatment program for as long as you need to in order to reach full recovery. Many other health plans only pay for a certain number of days or months each year of inpatient or outpatient rehab. However, you will be responsible for paying:
- Your deductible
- 50 percent of the cost of treatment after the deductible is paid.
Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment Coverage
Assurant covers treatment in both inpatient and outpatient facilities. You just have to be sure to choose a facility within the Assurant network for the company to pay any money toward your drug rehabilitation treatment. Look at your policy to determine the in-network facilities most convenient to you.
