It seems ISIS chose the wrong drug lord to mess with.

The world’s most wanted drug lord, Mexican kingpin Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán, has declared war on the Islamic State in an encrypted e-mail sent to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The email, which was leaked by cartelblog.com, declared that ISIS had “made a mistake” in destroying a Sinaloa cartel drug shipment. He also allegedly wrote that Islamic State members are “not soldiers" but "lowly pussies,” declaring he would not hold back if they continued with their actions towards his cartel.

“Your god cannot save you from the true terror that my men will levy at you if you continue to impact my operation,” wrote Guzmán. “My men will destroy you. The world is not yours to dictate. I pity the next son of a whore that tries to interfere with the business of the Sinaloa Cartel. I will have their heart and tongue torn from them.” al-Baghdadi has not responded publicly to the leaked email.

It was reported last month that ISIS was targeting Mexico after a propaganda video from the organization surfaced that inaccurately identified Mexico as one of the nations supporting a global coalition against them. But many Mexicans didn’t take the threats seriously and even joked about them on social media. They created the hashtag #IsisEnMexico (“ISIS in Mexico”) and hundreds of tweets were posted with memes mocking the organization.

Meanwhile, Guzmán’s whereabouts are still unknown. He escaped last July from the maximum-security Altiplano prison, widely viewed as the most guarded in Mexico, but he reportedly didn’t lose many of his freedoms while behind bars. Mexico journalist Anabel Hernandez told Telemundo in August that Guzmán was running the Sinaloa cartel from his jail cell. He was reportedly allowed to host his family for a vacation, hold several parties for friends, and even have female inmates sent over to the prison for his entertainment.
