Radar Online has reported that Kris Jenner, Keeping Up with the Kardashians matriarch and “momager” has offered her son, Rob Kardashian, $1 million to check into rehab.

“She thinks that one way to get through to him might be by using money,” a source close to the Kardashian family told Radar. But getting Rob’s health back is apparently not her only motivation. “Kris looks at Rob’s health crisis as a potential storyline for the show,” said the source. “She wants him to let cameras inside of his struggle because she believes that his downward spiral would make for great ratings.”

Kardashian has struggled with weight gain and has been rumored to use painkillers, Xanax and promethazine (codeine cough syrup), at the least. The 28-year-old was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes after being rushed to the hospital with severe stomach problems in December.

“She told him that in order to get the money, he must check in to treatment when the show is on hiatus,” said the source.

In May, gossip outlets circulated reports that Kardashian had checked into a 60-day Palm Beach rehab center, but at the time Jenner said the rumors were “completely fabricated.”

Jenner has reportedly ordered a private chef, psychologist, nutritionist and therapist to help her son, but has yet to see him in person since he was hospitalized. “She has basically done everything except for actually going to deal with his situation in person,” said the source.
