Elle King, whose single "Ex’s and Oh’s" topped Billboard's Hot Rock Songs charts in 2015, is making headlines after admitting that she was stoned at the Grammys this past Sunday. King and Dierks Bentley were nominated for 2017 Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their song "Different for Girls."

The 27-year-old daughter of Rob Schneider and model London King goofed on herself on Instagram. “Note to self,” she wrote, “don’t eat a bunch of pot muffins before the Grammys red carpet. #AccidentallyHighAF.”

The post accompanied a photo of King dolled up in a light pink floral dress by designer Teuta Matoshi Duriqi and a matching floral crown. In the pic, King is gazing off into space, while a reporter's mic is holding steady near her mouth waiting for her to say something entertaining.

Next to another Instagram photo of a slightly more focused King, she wrote, “Sometimes when you're accidentally high af from pot muffins, you don't realize you’re A FUCKING SNAPCHAT FILTER until after the Grammys and people tell you.”

King additionally shared a clip from the official live Grammys pre-show on CBS. In it, The Insider correspondent Keltie Knight asked King, “Why is it so much easier to get your heart broken when you’re a boy?” The singer’s stoned reply was blunt and bold. King simply said, “Because guys have never had a period.”

Along with that clip, she wrote, “This is what happens when you’re accidentally rly stoned at the Grammys. You see something shiny, forget that you’re on camera, then forget the question, then remember no one should ever let me be interviewed.” Followed by the hashtags #SorryMom and #StonedAtTheGrammys.

King's mother may have had an inkling that something was up, because she accompanied King to the Grammys event instead of King’s fiancé, Andrew “Fergie” Ferguson.

Entertainment Tonight caught up with King and her fellow Grammy nominee, Dierks Bentley, on the red carpet. He was full of praise for her. “She’s so good and talented,” he said, “but she’s really down to earth, and fun to be around, and unassuming, and self-deprecating, and funny, and she drinks a lot.”
