A 42-year-old woman in the UK has publicly admitted to sleeping with over 1,000 men, but says she's not ready to seek professional help for sex addiction. Crystal Warren lives in Brighton, England, and works as a retail manager. She attributes the beginning of her problem to watching the breakdown of her parents’ marriage; they divorced when she was five years old. Warren lost her virginity at 15 and quickly developed an addiction to sex; by 17, she'd had over 40 sexual partners. At 20, she was frequenting local pubs to find new conquests. At that point, she still considered herself blessed with a high sex drive, rather afflicted with a problem. But the three serious relationships in her life were all wrecked by her addiction. In her 30s, as her friends got married and started families, she started making younger friends so that she could keep up with the bar scene and meet more men. After infidelity ended her last relationship, she acknowledged her sex addiction to a friend. “I know I’m a sex addict, but I can’t face getting professional help,” she admits. “Sex is the only thing that makes me feel good about myself." She currently uses dating website to find partners. "I guess when the men start saying no, I'll stop having sex."
