After 14 months of marriage, Russell Brand filed for divorce from Katy Perry on December 30th. Brand, a recovering alcoholic, heroin addict and sex addict, has never been shy about his extreme predilections and sexually addictive past. "When I was at my most promiscuous, I was like a charging locomotive," the actor said. "My selection process was outsourced. I had a team of experts who took care of finding women for me. They had very specific instructions. It was as if I was talking to a wine steward—'I'm looking for something French, a bit fruity, smells of oak.'" Now, reports claim Perry couldn’t satisfy her husband's sexual demands. She previously claimed to have reformed Brand, who was rumored to sleep with up to 80 women a month at his peak. “He was a heroin addict and now he's not. He was addicted to all kinds of things and now he's not. And he basically used to be a professional prostitute and now he's not,'” she said. Medical experts say compulsive sexual behavior is a real disorder; an estimated 16 million Americans—both men and women—struggle with it.
