Lindsay Lohan’s had a rough go of it the last few years: highly embarrassing arrests, stints in rehab, making courtroom appearances basically every other day. Still, the troubled starlet has learned from her mistakes—or so she tells Playboy, in the interview accompanying her much-publicized topless shoot for the mag. "During the past five years,” she says, “I've learned that time flies faster than you think, and because you only live once, you have to learn from your mistakes, live your dreams and be accountable." Time flies, you only live once, learn from your mistakes and live your dreams—great to see that LiLo isn’t relying on empty platitudes.

But while vacationing in Hawaii over the weekend with her sister Ali, LiLo’s $5,000 Chanel handbag was stolen from a house party. At which, TMZ is quick to note, Lindsay was not drinking. Of course—most sober people leave their $5,000 bags lying around unattended. Though she managed to recover the purse—along with her passport and probation documents—it was missing the $10,000 in cash it originally contained. Lindsay was allegedly so relieved that she didn’t bother asking where the money had gone. That’s what we call being accountable.
