Bobbi Kristina Brown has been moved to a medical rehabilitation facility in Atlanta, according to a source close to the family, NBC News reports.
The 22-year-old Brown, daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, was transferred to a rehabilitation facility in Atlanta from the Emory University Hospital, where she has been for nearly two months.
Brown was placed in a medically induced coma after she was found facedown and unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home on January 31. Authorities speculate that the incident was drug-related.
She was transferred to the rehabilitation facility after doctors attempted to remove her from life support but saw no improvement in her condition. The source did not say which rehabilitation facility she was moved to or when she had been moved.
Another source told People magazine that Bobby Brown wishes to give his daughter time to recover, which may be the reason she was transferred, since the rehabilitation facility is better suited for long-term care.
Authorities are treating the incident as a criminal investigation, and some family members claim Nick Gordon, Brown’s boyfriend, is being investigated by authorities. The couple has a “history of violence.”
Gordon checked into rehab on March 6 after an interview with Dr. Phil this month.
