Facility and Meals
Each of the residential facilities offer luxury accommodations that are exceedingly comfortable and conducive to healing. The clients, who are between the ages of 12 and 17, share bedrooms and bathrooms. The spacious homes beautifully decorated and are situated in family friendly neighborhoods that are safe and quiet. Throughout the facilities there are several common areas, like the living rooms with TVs and computers, which are used for schoolwork. Additionally, there are classrooms and therapy rooms, along with offices.
Due to the nature of the treatment programs at Clementine, the dining experience is a crucial aspect. The clients receive nutritional guidance and education from staff and participate in preparing meals together. There is an emphasis on normalizing food intake, so clients go food shopping and out to restaurants with staff, as well as enjoy family-style meals together at the house. There are always a large variety of meal options.
Treatment Protocol and Team
A key factor to treatment at Clementine is a cooperation and trust between the client, therapists and family members. All clients have an individualized treatment plan, and group sessions are kept small, usually between four and six. There are two individual sessions per week with either a Master's-level clinician or psychiatrist. Additionally, clients participate in weekly individual sessions with the rest of the treatment team as a method of assessing progress.
Treatment is broken down into four phases and is on a step-down system. There are daily group sessions that engage different evidence-based methods like DBT and CBT as well as more experiential modalities like art and music therapy and expressive therapy. Clients can also exepct relapse prevention techniques as they related to eating disorders and exposure therapy. Programming is also available to clients with a co-occurring disorder on an individualized basis, and medication management is offered as well.

Another major aspect is life skills development and continuing education throughout treatment. Clients participate in daily chores, relaxation and meditation, learning about time management and self esteem. Family involvement is a crucial element to the long-term success of the clients, and there are weekly sessions that can be conducted either on-site or remotely, and frequent communication from staff members.
During the final phase of the residential program, clients start to work on an aftercare plan that can involve outpatient treatment, like the PHP or IOP mentioned earlier.
There is a large medical and clinical staff at Clementine of medical doctors and nurses, psychologists, nutritionists and yoga instructors.
