My Mistress Killed My Marriage

By eddietix 06/19/20

I cheated on my wife for about 13 out of the 14 years we were married. I was 29 years old when I got married. I had met my mistress/girlfriend when I was about 18 years old or so. We hit it off right away and I never really got over her. She was the BEST. I fell in love with her the instant I met her. I just wanted to see her every day and every night. I have never met anybody who was so vibrant, and knew what to say and when to say it. She was fantastic in social situations, and she had all kinds of energy. She was also a fantastic dancer.

We dated all through college and into my early work years. My wife (at the time) had actually met her on several occasions but I don’t believe she knew the full extent of our relationship. I am sure she never would have married me if she had. What woman in her right mind would marry someone who is in love with somebody else? When I was married, I tried to leave my girlfriend on many, many occasions. Every one of my efforts to leave was unsuccessful.

This girl just kept coming back to me and it seemed like she just got better looking every day. I mean she was like a super model to me on certain days. She was very easy to get along with as well. We never had to talk about taking care of the kids. We never had to talk about money issues. We never had to talk about things that really mattered. All she wanted to do was have a good time. I just LOVED the idea of having a good time.

Well, to make a long story short, my wife finally found out the true nature of my relationship with my girlfriend. I couldn’t hide her any longer. It was extremely hard (excuse me?) to maintain a marriage, have 3 kids, and have a FULL TIME girlfriend that needed my attention ALL THE TIME. Sadly, we got divorced. My girlfriend didn’t seem to really care though. She just kind of went about her own business.

She hurt me really bad. I wanted to be with her forever, or so I thought.

I finally ended it with my girlfriend. It just wasn’t worth it to me anymore. She still texts me EVERY DAY. It is so difficult to say no to her. But sometimes, you just have to grow up and do the right thing. I am sure she is just fine.

I heard she is dating a good friend of mine.
