Cup of Hope

By jrweaver 08/19/19

sometimes that’s all we have to move forward, a small cup size of Hope.  That’s all I had when I started this journey on 11-10-17.  I didn’t know if I had a chance to turn life around but I was determined to give it my best shot, I knew what the streets offered:  chaos, death, jail, misery, isolation.  I deserved more, you deserve more.  I started this road to recovery with nothing, I had burned bridges and trust, I had to walk the miles to prove myself and that’s exactly what I did, I walked, I rode buses, I made my meetings, I made my appointments and I changed inside.  I transformed into someone ‘new and improved.’  I became the person that God originally intended me to be or maybe I had to suffer thru addiction to show others that we can overcome it.  Either way I am blessed to see another day.  Don’t be ashamed of your past, it made you who you are today.  That ‘version’ of you no longer exists, it’s time to show the world that WE DO RECOVER
