We live in a time where the son of a mega-powerful drug kingpin may be dueling with an American billionaire-and-presidential-candidate: on Twitter.
According to TMZ, Donald Trump contacted the FBI after threats were made against him by someone claiming to be the son of El Chapo, the infamous Mexican drug lord who escaped from maximum security prison over the weekend as The Fix reported yesterday.

The tweet from account @ElChap0Guzman, which is reportedly run by El Chapo’s son Ivan, translates roughly to: "Keep f***ing around and I'm gonna make you swallow your bitch words you f***ing whitey milks***tter @realDonaldTrump."
The tweet was a response to Trump’s recent torrent of racist and anti-immigration statements, including his claims that all Mexicans are “rapists and criminals.” Trump has since used El Chapo’s escape to validate his points, and threatened via Twitter to “kick his ass.”
Despite the threats against him, Trump has said he won’t stop his public rants anytime soon. "I'm fighting for much more than myself,” he told TMZ. “I'm fighting for the future of our country which is being overrun by criminals. You can't be intimidated. It's too important."
Meanwhile, Mexico is involved in a widespread manhunt for Guzman. The powerful Sinaloa Cartel, which he led up until his capture in 2014, is believed to control most of the key crossing points for drugs at the US-Mexico border.
His escape spells bad news for Mexico’s efforts to crackdown on the country’s drug war, which has resulted in an estimated 10,000 deaths since 2006.
