Pat Sajak, the longtime host of Wheel of Fortune, confessed last night on the ESPN 2 show Dan Le Batard Is Highly Questionable that he and his permanently statuesque co-hostess Vanna White would often get soused on margaritas between tapings at a Mexican restaurant near the show's Burbank studio.

"Vanna and I would have two or three or six and then come and do the last shows and have trouble recognizing the alphabet," he says. Sajak claims the pair, who have been co-hosting the show since 1982, have performed the show straight for quite some time. "The early days were pretty loose," he added. ""When I first started I was much younger and could tolerate those things. We had a different show then."
