The former Disney star blamed her on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber for her struggles with “partying.”

According to her representatives, Selena Gomez sequestered herself for two weeks in rehab to deal with “emotional issues,” though sources close to the actress and singer said that she had been “partying very hard.”

Gomez, 21, was admitted to Dawn at The Meadows in Wickenberg, AZ in January. Her reps were clear to point out that she was not struggling with alcohol or drugs. "Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse," they said.

But doubts about the veracity of her reps’ statement stemmed from her recent reunion with troubled pop star, Justin Bieber, who was arrested in January for DUI in Florida. The arrest came shortly after police raided his Calabasas, CA home, where they allegedly found a molly-like substance and arrested Bieber’s friend and permanent house guest, Lil Za. Of course, Bieber has notoriously been a prodigious weed smoker and allegedly has been consuming codeine-based sizzurp.

In December, Gomez surprised her fans when she canceled the Australian leg of her Stars Dance tour, which was scheduled to kick off in February. "It has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be," she said in a statement at the time.
