LA Mayor Tangled in Charlie Sheen Drama

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has denied rumors of a night of hard drinking with the king of tiger blood himself. Notorious troublemaker Charlie Sheen caught the media's attention last week after claiming the Mayor "knows how to party," and tweeting a photo of the two of them at Sheen’s bar opening in Baja California, Mexico. VIllaraigosa quickly downplayed the rumors, saying that he had only “bumped into” Sheen and shared a three-minute conversation. But on Tuesday, Sheen stepped up his claims: "I memorize 95 pages a week, so the last thing that I am is memory challenged," said the actor. He then claimed that the photo was actually taken in Sheen’s hotel suite, where the mayor spent several hours partying with booze and women, including at least one porn star. "He’s a terrific guy, a great mayor and he can drink with the best of ‘em: Me," said Sheen. But shortly after, he released an apology: "I am a giant fan of the mayor's and apologize if any of my words have been misconstrued." Villaraigosa refused to comment when pressed to address the rumors at a recent, unrelated news conference. "I've said what I'm going to say on that, everybody," he said, in response to questions about Sheen: "You had fun. Let's talk about the important things.”
