Mag Releases Rehab Top-10 List

Healthcare Global magazine’s June issue lists the top 10 drug and alcohol treatment centers around the world—and six of those 10, including all five US rehabs on the list, have been reviewed by The Fix as part of its innovative, unique-in-the-industry Rehab Review. The six Fix-reviewed rehabs that made Healthcare Global’s top 10 list are Passages Malibu; Promises Malibu; the Betty Ford Center, in Rancho Mirage, Calif.; The Meadows, in Wickenburg, Ariz.; Sober Living by the Sea, in Newport Beach, Calif.; and Crossroads Centre, on the British Caribbean island of Antigua. But The Fix's reviewers—real, live former residents of each treatment facility—came to some differing conclusions from Healthcare Global on these facilities. Passages, No. 1 on Healthcare Global's list, was awarded only two stars by our insiders—same as Sober Living by the Sea—while Crossroads, Promises and The Meadows received four stars, and Betty Ford three.
