Pop singer and former Disney star Demi Lovato has been residing in a sober living facility for more than a year, according to a source. The 20-year-old star has been open about her battles with eating disorders and cutting, for which she entered treatment in 2010. Despite owning a house outside LA, Lovato has reportedly been renting a room in a sober living facility in Los Angeles, where she stayed throughout the filming of the X-Factor, where she was one of the judges. "She's very smart," says the source. "She takes whatever steps she needs to make sure she stays healthy." It is unknown for how long the star plans to live in the facility, but she continues to put her recovery first, says the source. “‘Sober Is Sexy’ is my new motto, and it couldn't be more true! All you need to have fun in life is a great attitude and good friends,” wrote the singer in a letter to Seventeen magazine last February. “I've made a commitment to myself to live a happy healthy life the best way I know how and I want to spread the message that you don't need to do drink or do drugs to have fun.”
