Two and a Half Men—the massively popular sitcom that imploded after Charlie Sheen's much publicized crack-up—is returning to CBS this Fall with a new star: Ashton Kutcher. Kutcher will reportedly play Walden Schmidt—a lovelorn Internet billionaire who buys Sheen's house after his hard-partying character unexpectedly dies. According to USA Today, TV's number one sitcom will debut with a episode in which the cast buries Sheen's character, Charlie Harper after he comes undone. The funeral scene is a bit of revenge by the show's longtime writer, Chuck Lorre, who was a frequent target of the actor's acid outbursts. "As far as Chuck was concerned, there was never any doubt: Charlie Harper was going to die to end his connection to the show," said a source. "He just loved killing off Charlie."
