The media is awhirl today with stories about the 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair survey showing that a whole lot of random people think pop star Justin Bieber will be in rehab by the age of 30. Now, is that a nice thing to say about such a nice young man? Despite the lurid headlines, the only coherent conclusion to be drawn from the poll is this: “About 30 percent of Americans believe Justin Bieber will be in celebrity rehab when he reaches 30,” according to a relatively sane article by Reuters. Bieber was the 4th highest selling musician in the U.S. last year. While nobody really cares, almost 20% of the 11,000 random telephone responders said that by the age of 30, they guessed Justin Bieber would be “married and living quietly somewhere.” But these days, it’s clearly never too early to start a celebrity rehab watch on another shooting star.
